Food Prep: Mason Jar Salads

Or at least in my case you do!


I have a really hard time with cravings. It’s probably my biggest challenge when it comes to a healthy lifestyle. One thing that I recently tried is planning my meals for the week. This personally helps me tremendously. While browsing Pinterest one day I stumbled upon these adorable (and totally genius) mason jar salads. Prep all at once, and eat healthy for the week! Perfect! Here’s what I put in mine:

Southwest Salad
-southwest blend cheese
-southwest corn blend
-chopped green peppers
-shredded carrots
-BBQ sauce

When it comes to the dressing, I found a zero calorie ranch dressing that actually looks pretty clean, and a BBQ sauce that’s low in sodium!

Summer Poppyseed Salad
-mandarin oranges
-poppyseed dressing

-Dressing first, Greens last!
